According
to underwater photographer Herb Segars "This shipwreck was long
known as the Rig Barge or the Riggie Barge. It is now believed to be
the Helen C, a 1285 ton schooner barge sunk on January 12, 1922 in
75' of water. This wreck has wooden walls protruding from the sand.
At one end of the wreck is a large post sticking up all by itself,
while at the other end there is a small boiler, steam winch &
chain."
