CONDITIONS
Located a few feet
north of the Top of the Mast restaurant in Seaside Park, this old
Pipeline
now serves as its own fish haven. Howard Rothweiler
and Bill Davis
learned about this site from fellow diver, Joe Paolo.
Howard and Bill visited the
Pipeline
and
were happy to find an abundance of black fish, fluke and even a few
lobsters. The black fish were surprisingly large and abundant for
such a close to
shore shallow site. Depth ranges from ten to over 25
feet.
As a side note there are many of
these abandoned pipelines all along the Jersey coast. Each would be
worthwhile to explore especially for spear fishing.
