Mares, one of the first
industrial diving companies, was founded in 1949 by the fifty-one year old
Istrian, Ludovico Mares in Rapallo, Italy.
His considerable experience as a diver during the Second World War and his
innate manual skill transformed his passion into a business reality of
continuous and growing success.
Today, Mares is a company of over 500 people, 20,000 mē (215,280 sq. ft.), over
1,000 designed products, more than 100 registered patents, and millions of
products sold in over 80 countries worldwide.
