Capt. Dan cut this
porthole off the
Oregon shipwreck. The broco cut through the Oregon's hull plate
like a hot knife through butter.
Close up of steel
hull plate cut with Broco torches. This was the first porthole ever
successfully recovered from this wreck with Broco torches. Since
this trip other boats have returned with similar success.
We used Broco
Torches to cut through the
Valerie E
wrecks 5" dia propeller shaft. Then three 250 pound Subsalve
lift bags sent the artifact to the surface.
This propeller was salvaged
from the Bronx Queen
shipwreck. It took over 35 dives to recover. Divers used everything from
hydraulic grinders to
broco
torches and a 6000 pound lift bag to recover the artifact.
