CHAUNCEY
According to Dan Lieb the Chauncey was three masted squared rigged
sailing vessel which was built in CT. The ship ran aground on Long
Beach Island in NJ and now lies in only 20feet of water. Dan reports
that only her cargo of pig iron, barrels and railroad ties can be
recognized. The location of the Chauncey is known to only a hand
full of New Jersey beach divers.
