CREOLE
The Coastal freighter Creole was built in 1862. She was 200 feet
long and had a 20 foot beam. The Creole ran aground off Bay Head NJ,
on March 17 1868. Bill Davis author of the book Shipwrecks of the
Atlantic says that although this wreck site has not been positively
identified many believe it to be a wreck that sits in 20 feet of
water just off the Bay Head Hotel.
