G-FORCE
The tugboat G-Force was 92 foot and displaced 101 tons. She was
built in new Orleans in 1956 and originally named the Colleen. She
spent 35 years hauling freight between New York and the Great Lakes.
In 1991 her engine failed and she was put out of commission.
On August 3, 1996 the G-Force was towed from NY and sunk as an
artificial reef off NJ. She now sits in 70 feet of water four miles
southeast of Mantoloking.
