The Riggie Barge Shipwreck  New York and New Jersey's (Wreck Valley)
Historical and current New York and New Jersey Shipwreck Information and images for scuba divers and fisherman.

According to underwater photographer Herb Segars "This shipwreck was long known as the Rig Barge or the Riggie Barge. It is now believed to be the Helen C, a 1285 ton schooner barge sunk on January 12, 1922 in 75' of water. This wreck has wooden walls protruding from the sand. At one end of the wreck is a large post sticking up all by itself, while at the other end there is a small boiler, steam winch & chain."
