The Rump Wreck Shipwreck
New York and New Jersey's (Wreck Valley)
Historical and current New York and New Jersey Shipwreck Information and images for scuba
divers and fisherman.
According
to underwater photographer Herb Segars "The Rump Wreck is either a
barge or a schooner barge that was approximately 150' long. It lies
in 78' of water about six mile south of Manasquan Inlet. There are
three wooden walls in the sand and an assortment of machinery and
chain at the east end of the wreck. The three walls converge at this
end and this may have been the barge's bow."
